FanDrive Connect Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of FanDrive Connect, including its mobile app, web profiles, NFC and QR products, paid memberships and related services.
1About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and FanDrive Motorsport Ltd when you create an account, use FanDrive Connect or buy a membership or physical product from us. Please read them before using the service.
Company: FanDrive Motorsport Ltd
Company number: 16667253
Registered office: Brunel House, 11 The Promenade, Clifton, Bristol, United Kingdom, BS8 3NG

Privacy enquiries: privacy@fandrive.net
If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of the information provided with these terms.
2Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement. You must provide accurate information, keep your account details current and use an email address you control.
FanDrive Connect uses email one-time codes. You are responsible for keeping your email account and device secure and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly at privacy@fandrive.net if you believe your account, card or QR code has been compromised.
You may not create an account for another person without authority, impersonate anyone, transfer an account without our agreement, or use automated means to create accounts.
3What FanDrive Connect provides
FanDrive Connect helps people exchange professional information following an in-person meeting. Depending on the version available to you, the service may include profiles, sharing templates, NFC and QR links, downloadable vCards, live connections, meeting context, shared notes, calendar suggestions, business-card scanning, event attendance and paid membership features.
Some features may be introduced, changed, suspended or withdrawn as the service develops. We will not remove a paid core feature during a current paid period without providing an appropriate remedy where required by law.
4Profiles sharing templates and connections
You control the information placed in your profile and the template activated for sharing. You must review your active template before using a card, sticker or QR code. Do not include information that you are not comfortable making available to anyone who obtains the link.
Presenting your NFC product or QR code causes your active template to be made available to the person who taps or scans it. The other person’s information is not shared with you unless that person makes the required sharing choice. QR-based reciprocal sharing requires confirmation because QR codes can be copied or forwarded.
A FanDrive connection can provide updated information while the connection remains active. Either person may disconnect. Disconnection stops future access through FanDrive but cannot retrieve information already exported, copied, downloaded or shared outside the service.
5NFC cards stickers and QR codes
Each FanDrive NFC card, sticker or QR code is associated with a FanDrive URL or token. The token is intended to identify the linked profile, not to store contact information directly on the chip. The URL may be copied, photographed or forwarded and may continue to work until revoked.
You are responsible for keeping physical products under reasonable control and for revoking a product that is lost, stolen, copied or used without permission. We may suspend or replace a token where needed to protect users or the service.
NFC performance depends on the phone, operating system, antenna position, case, tag placement and surrounding materials. We do not guarantee that every device will read every NFC product. The printed QR code is the fallback method where supplied.
6Calendar business cards and event attendance
Calendar suggestions
If you enable calendar access, FanDrive Connect may suggest a likely meeting or event context for you to review. You remain responsible for confirming the correct context before sharing it. Do not share confidential calendar information or information about another person without an appropriate reason.
Business card scanning
Business-card scanning is provided as an aid and may produce errors. You must review extracted information before relying on it. You may scan a card only where you received it legitimately or otherwise have a reasonable basis to record the information. You must not use the feature for bulk collection, unsolicited marketing, profiling or building lists of people you have not met.
Event attendance
Event attendance is optional. You decide whether to announce attendance, confirm the event and select the available audience. Do not announce another person’s attendance without their permission. FanDrive may expire an attendance announcement at or shortly after the event.
7Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of information, text, photographs, links and notes you submit to FanDrive Connect. You give FanDrive a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and to carry out your sharing choices. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention and copies already shared with other people.
You promise that you have the right to submit and share your content and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not submit content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or deliberately misleading;
- infringes privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property or other rights;
- contains malware, harmful code or links intended to deceive or compromise another person;
includes unnecessary sensitive information about another person; or
promotes spam, scraping, mass solicitation or unrelated commercial activity.
Private notes are for your own legitimate relationship management. You remain responsible for what you record about another person and must delete or correct it when appropriate.
8Acceptable use
You must use FanDrive Connect lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- search for, contact or message strangers through unauthorised methods;
- scrape, harvest, enumerate or systematically collect profiles or card tokens;
- bypass sharing choices, access controls, rate limits or security measures;
- reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it;
- use another person’s card, QR code, profile or identity without permission;
- send spam or treat a connection as consent to marketing;
interfere with the service, introduce malicious code or test security without written authorisation; or
use the service in a way that could harm FanDrive, another user or the integrity of a motorsport event or organisation.
We may investigate suspected misuse and may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond.
9Memberships and payment
Some features may require a paid membership. The price, billing period, included benefits, renewal terms and any applicable taxes are shown before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment-card details.
If a membership renews automatically, we will make that clear before purchase. You may cancel future renewal through the available account or billing controls. Unless the purchase screen states otherwise or the law requires a refund, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and does not retrospectively refund time already supplied.
We may change a future renewal price by giving reasonable advance notice. The changed price will apply only to a later renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
10Physical products delivery and returns
Prices, delivery charges and estimated delivery times for physical products are shown when you order. Risk of loss passes to you when the product is delivered. Ownership passes when we receive full payment, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
If you are a UK consumer buying at a distance, you normally have 14 days after delivery to cancel an order for standard goods. This statutory cancellation right may not apply to cards or products made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you. This does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.
Before returning a product, contact privacy@fandrive.net for instructions. You are responsible for reasonable care of returned goods. We may deduct for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product, where the law permits.
11Consumer cancellation rights for digital services
If you are a UK consumer purchasing a membership directly from FanDrive online, you may have a 14-day right to cancel. If you ask us to begin providing the service during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied before cancellation. Any statutory exception or loss of a cancellation right will be explained and confirmed during purchase where applicable.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you purchase through an app store, that store’s billing, cancellation and refund processes may also apply.
12FanDrive intellectual property
FanDrive and its licensors own the service, software, design, databases, trade marks, logos and other materials, excluding your content. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms. No other rights are transferred to you.
You may not reproduce or use the FanDrive name, wordmark, app icon or product designs for your own branding without written permission. Organisation-branded products remain subject to the branding terms agreed for that order.
13Third party services and links
Profiles may contain links to third-party services such as LinkedIn. Payments, email delivery, push notifications and app distribution also depend on third-party providers. Their services and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. FanDrive is not responsible for third-party content or services outside our reasonable control.
14Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, internet failures, device settings, venue connectivity, third-party systems and security events may affect operation. You should not rely on FanDrive Connect as the sole copy of important contact information or as an emergency communication service.
We may update the app or require supported versions for security and compatibility. We may change or discontinue free features with reasonable notice where practical.
15Suspension termination and deletion
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time through the available controls or by contacting privacy@fandrive.net. Membership cancellation and account deletion are separate: deleting the app alone does not necessarily cancel a paid membership.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create a security risk, misuse another person’s information, fail to pay an amount due, or if we are legally required to do so. We will act proportionately and provide notice where reasonably possible.
On termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue - including payment obligations, intellectual property, liability, dispute and governing-law provisions - remain effective.
16Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss arising from consumer use, or for loss caused by information you chose to make public, another person’s conduct, or events outside our reasonable control, except where the law says otherwise.
If you use FanDrive Connect wholly or mainly for business purposes, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or data. Subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, our total liability arising from the service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of £100 and the amount you paid FanDrive for the relevant service during that period.
17Indemnity for business misuse
If you use the service for business purposes, you will reimburse FanDrive for reasonable losses, liabilities and costs arising from your unlawful content, infringement of another person’s rights or material breach of sections 7 or 8, except to the extent the loss was caused by FanDrive.
18Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, law, security requirements or business operations. We will publish the updated version and effective date. For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service and cancel future membership renewal before the change takes effect.
19Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available under applicable consumer law. Business users agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Please contact privacy@fandrive.net first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
20General terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it as part of a genuine reorganisation, financing or sale of the business, provided this does not reduce your mandatory rights. These terms, the Privacy Policy and any purchase-specific terms shown at checkout form the agreement between you and FanDrive Connect.
